THE PRINCIPLES

A point of view.
With consequences.

A principle matters when it changes a decision. These five convictions shape the experiences Vanta is working toward.

The starting point is you.

Meaningful control over your information, your environment and the software acting within it should remain with you.

Who decides where this information belongs?
An envisioned experience

Choose the information a workspace may hold and the purposes it may serve.

These are design principles and illustrative scenarios. Their expression in released software will require evidence of its own.

A PRINCIPLE SHOULD SURVIVE THE TRADEOFF

Convenience is valuable.
So is the right to pause.

There will be moments when more access makes a task easier, when retained context makes an answer faster, or when an automatic decision removes a step. Those are precisely the moments when a principle has work to do.

Our ambition is to make the tradeoff understandable. Useful assistance should leave room to choose a smaller scope, question an action, change a boundary or decide that something should wait.

THE STATE OF THE WORK

Ambition, with a clear status.
