We are giving software a growing role in how we think, work and make decisions. That creates extraordinary possibility. It also makes a familiar question more consequential: who gets to decide?
Vanta is an independent project exploring an owner-centered computing ecosystem. The ambition reaches from the foundations of software to intelligent assistance, desktops, servers and mobile experiences. The unifying idea is straightforward: your information and the authority to act within your world should remain understandable to you.
That requires more than a permission screen. It asks for a coherent relationship between intention, access, action and consequence. It asks for context that can be inspected, uncertainty that can be acknowledged and recovery that is considered before a failure.
Progress should be measured in what becomes possible—and in the control the owner retains.
The public website describes the direction of that work. It makes no claim that the whole ecosystem is available today. The project’s name and component names are working names, and the implementation details of private work remain private.
